Wait! Don't press that...

Ok. I didn't actually touch anything, but for some reason the formatting for my posts has change.

Really I didn't do anything. I woke up this morning looked at it and said "That's not right?!"

And I don't like what I am seeing.

No Ma'am, not one bit.

Hehe, give me a day or so while I sort out what exactly just happened and fix it.

Anyone seen my web programming for dummies book?

Ok, it is blogger and not me, I am pulling in some help both with blogger and some coders I know. But no matter what I do I cannot get the post layout to look right. Even when I revert to Blogger's basic Template it doesn't work right. That is how I know it isn't me.

This causing me to think about moving hosts, but I would have to give up this wonderful template. :(

FYI - know the comments are missing but I have to modify the formatting of them to get them to show in the widget right. I'll wait until everything is working again.

Ok it is coming around, still was a blogger issue I had to reset all my widgets and some formatting is still off. But we are getting closer to being back to normal.

I have noticed a few quirks with Blogger too, from time to time. My pet peeve and biggest ongoing concern, is that I lost the editing tools that used to appear on my main page, and along with that, I lost the ability to post a comment on any blog that does not have the pop up window for comments enabled. All of this happened without me changing a thing in my settings. I sent a request for help to Blogger, but got useless information in return. No one seems to be able to tell me what is wrong. I think there is a compatibility problem with my server. I connect using a wireless USB modem, and when the server went out one day, I used dial-up, and everything was fine. When I went back to my wireless connection later in the day, the editing tools were missing, and once again I could only post in the pop up format. The thing that is really weird, is that everything used to work just fine, even with my wireless connection. Then mysteriously one day it didn't. I'm not an IT guru, so I'm at my wits end over this.

Melissa, I don't know if you have tried this or not but have you cleared your browsers cache?

Various instructions can be found here: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser%27s-Cache

Just a note, I would use wordpress if they allowed the upload of custom themes. The free one doesn't, you have to pay a hosting service for that feature. But I like their editing tools and other features much better. Oh well.

I'm actually creating my own custom theme for word press for my company site. (I do web development on the side.)

I think its just time for blogger to get overhauled.
